5/Fifths is presented in conjunction with Augusta University’s Department of Art and features the works of five graduating seniors. The Pamplin College\Westobou collaboration provides art students the opportunity to complete a body of work and to exhibit it in a professional gallery space.

Mary S. Byrd Gallery of Art is pleased to announce the 2017 Juried Student Art Exhibition, February 16 - March 10, 2017. An opening reception will be held on Thursday, February, 16th from 5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. This exhibition, juried by Birmingham-based contemporary artist Amy Pleasant, features thirty-one artworks varying in medium from ceramics to digital art, printmaking, and sculpture by Augusta University Department of Art students.

The exhibition showcases the works of twenty-four different student artists including Sarah Adams, Jamie Boquist, Quintavious Brown, Baillie Conway, Carey Mogianesi, Emma Ford, Lani Frost, Kenya Gibbons, Dezzirae Goodrum, Macy Goodwin, Kelsey Hornback, Elizabeth Kenyon, Brenna Laird, Edgar Miles, Carey Mogianesi, Gerry O’Meara, Megan Pitt, Olivia Robinson, Kiersten Rockwell, Jonkota Samuels, Leah Schaffer, KeJuan Tanksley, Matthew Tedesco, Stephanie Willingham and Chaundria Wynn.

This annual exhibition gives emerging student artists a chance to experience the jurying process firsthand and gain a greater knowledge of gallery operations. Each January, students are invited to submit up to five works of art in any medium to be reviewed by a well-respected contemporary artist.
